Are we lucky or what?? We
got rescued before anything too terrible happened to us, and here we are! It's a
good thing, too, because we both were spayed today, and then we both have
bilateral patella surgery coming up on July 3rd. If we hadn't been rescued, we'd
never have gotten a chance at a normal life. Our teeth are good, our hearts are
good, and we're very curious and active. I, Cinnamon, am 1 year old, and Betsy
is 5 years old, but she sure doesn't act like it. She's just like my twin
sister, but she doesn't look like me. We play and run and get our noses into
everything. We each weigh just four lbs, and we're very delicate. We're already
in our new foster home, with several Chihuahua cousins, and it's great here! We
always knew there was a world outside that room, and here it is! A fine yard,
pretty flowers, a vegetable garden to raid soon -- what more could a Chi want,
other than a soft bed, good food, and a comfortable lap!
We pretty much love everyone, dog or human, and are way too sociable to be left
alone all day. We don't have to be adopted together, but we're not going
anywhere if we have to sit home by ourselves all day, every day. If there's
another little Chi, great, but forget about that lonely business. It's not for
us! Of course we have to have our patella surgery before we go anywhere --
that's very important. Our knees are pretty sore, and we're young, so we need
good, strong knees for the rest of our life.
Later...we have to race out the door and see what's going on out there.
