Put A Little Love In Your Life - Adopt A Chihuahua

LUKE

Luke is my name and as you can see, I am a small male (just around 4 pounds) with a white smooth coat. I am 3 years old, current on my shots, neutered, and micro chipped.

I am a frisky little guy with a fun personality who loves to sit in Foster Mom’s lap or follow her around the yard when she works in the garden. I like Foster Dad but do seem to prefer the company of a lady, but then what fellow doesn’t?

I was pretty scared when I first came to my foster home and cried a lot but Mom has helped me understand that my needs will be met. I will be fed, kept warm and loved a lot and that has eased my anxiety so that I can relax and show off my charming side.

I have learned to sleep in my little crate at night and not cry or bark and Foster Mom is really proud of me for that (although sometime she and I sneak off and nap together and I LOVE that) so if you adopt me maybe we could sleep together.

I was also too frightened to eat at first but Mom was very patient with me and helped me understand what feeding time means and now I eat all my meals when I am supposed to and I get a treat when I done for doing such a good job. Foster Mom says I just needed to have someone show me the ropes.

There are other Chihuahuas here and I get along with all of them. Some of them are older and do not play much but there is one young one here and he and I play together very well. I would do well in a home where there was another small chi that is not too dominant and loves to play.

Since I am a tiny guy I need a secure fence so that I will have a play area without having to worry lost or hurt. I really like to be around people and would not do well in a situation where I was left alone a lot. I need a home where someone will be around the majority of the time and I need a small Chi companion. No larger dogs and no children!

I love to watch TV and Foster Mom laughs at me because sometimes if there is an animal on TV I get really excited and try to talk to them. They never answer back though, hum?

Well, if you want a frisky, (somewhat shy until I get to know you) companion who loves to sit in your lap and give you kisses then I am your guy! Complete an application, write to Midwestcoordinator@chihuahua-rescue.com  and tell her you want Luke and I will pack my blanky and be there before you blink your eyes (well almost that fast). You must live in OH/IN/KY/IL/MN/MI/WI. (bbb)
