Pssst…

You!…..hey you! Look into my eyes. My beautiful light green eyes. That's it….

Hello there,

My name is Guido… yes you heard right Guido!  And I'm gonna make you an offer you can't refuse.

You adopt me and I will fill your heart with the kind of love that only an Italian Chihuahua can do
.

Yes I'm Italian. I think that's how I got the name Guido.  Apparently I am possibly part Italian Greyhound (I have very long legs). But I look like a Chihuahua and am very very handsome. Did I mention my beautiful light green eyes??

Let me just say that my foster mom says my name suits me. I am quite a lover and can steal your heart like nobody's business. I can also steal money right out of your purse if your not careful…wink wink.

If you read my previous bio you know that I have been through a lot with my broken leg, the surgery to repair it and then the virus that made me so sick I thought I might not make it. But I am like a brand new little boy now. You almost can't tell that I had a bad leg. I can run like the wind and play hard with my foster brothers and sister, dart in and out and back and forth, and jump up on the couch or bed.

I am now a little over a year old and I am working on my grown up manners and learning how to be the perfect gentleman for you, my forever family. I can't wait for you to find me and adopt me. My foster mom says you will find me any day now. I am so excited but patiently waiting.

Foster mom is telling me all about you, how much you need me and that you have a really nice securely fenced yard that I can play and sun myself in, that there may be another chi brother or sister for me to play with and that there won't be any small children to frighten me.

If this is you hurry up! I am so loving and handsome that I will snatched up before you can blink! Did I mention my beautiful light green eyes???

If you need Guido in your life as much as he needs you, please complete an adoption application on our website, and then email Laura at MidwestCoordinator@chihuahua-rescue.com to let her know. You must live in OH/IN/KY/IL/MN/MI/WI (cm)

6+3Guido had a plate inserted in his front leg, and a bone graft. He then contracted a virus much like parvo (but not parvo) and spent the next 8 days on an iv, hanging on by a thread. The staff at the vet clinic was terrific, giving him one-on-one attention and working with him, and managed to pull him through (at one point he even received a plasma transfusion), but as you can imagine, our bill was very high. The total ended up being $3400 (the leg repair was done by a Board-certified orthopedic surgeon, and then he remained in that clinic for the duration of his illness), even with quite a few significant reductions in price. Any donations would be greatly appreciated -- he's a special little guy, looking for a home, and we are very grateful that he has this chance for a good life.

To donate, you can use Paypal (on our site), checks or money orders, of course (sent to our treasurer, Gretchen Craver, at 3414 Pemberton Dr., Pearland, TX 77584-9483). Any of it will be greatly appreciated.
