Put A Little Love In Your Life - Adopt A Chihuahua

KNUCKIE

I am  Mr. Knuckles, Knuckie for short.  I am a four year old , six pound little guy.   I came with this name, and supposedly I was given it because of my "black eye," like I got hit with knuckles. I wouldn't mind a new name along with my new home!  I'm way cuter in person, too. I have a pretty severe overbite but it doesn't cause any problems. Right now my legs are weak and I need lots of exercise(running in a fenced yard) and long walks to build them up. Too much crate time in my other home.
When the other dogs get under the covers and start moving around, I bark at them. It's a little scary; I always think it might be a monster and not just them. I get along well with everyone here, but I'm easily intimidated and need a little companion who won't bully me.

Toys are something I never had before, and I don't understand what to do with them, but I'm learning how to play. I never had any playmates, either.

I can't jump up on the furniture, so I need steps, or you'll have to pick me up. And then, of course, you don't want to leave me stranded on the sofa, because that's how we little guys break legs when we jump off.

I've got this housebreaking thing mastered. I use puppy pads and also go outside. I'm very shy at first and need someone who is patient with me and is aware that I'm just learning things that other dogs learned as puppies. Are you that person?  I don't think I'd do well at all with children -- too many quick movements, shrill voices, and loud noises. I'd like a quiet home with adults who will love me forever, and if they aren't home most of the time, I need a little Chi companion.  I also need that fenced yard. I can go for walks, but because I'm not used to it and I'm shy, a fenced yard will allow me to roam around a little, explore, and play safely. I need a lot of that!

If you think you have the right home for me, please complete an adoption application on our website and then email MidwestCoordinator@chihuahua-rescue.com to let her know. I'll be waiting!  You must live in OH/IN/KY/IL/MN/MI/WI. (cc)
