Put A Little Love In Your Life - Adopt A Chihuahua

SIMON

Hello,

My name is Simon and I am a handsome black, white and brown smoothcoat neutered male. I am 5 years old, up-to-date on all my shots and am micro chipped so if I ever get lost I can find my way back to you. I weigh 7 pounds, 12 ounces and am just a tad overweight but I am sure that spring walks and playing in the back yard (securely fenced, of course) will help me shed some of my weight gain. I love to walk and when you get my harness and lead out I really get excited.

I was surrendered by my owners, not because they didn’t love me (because they did), because the baby in the household was allergic to dog hair and dander. It was very hard for my previous owners to give me up but they knew CRT would find me a wonderful home with someone who didn’t have allergies and who loved little shy Chihuahuas.

Yes, that’s right I am terribly shy and some things really frighten me – like the sound of the vacuum cleaner and loud noises and noisy children. So for that reason I need a home that is a little on the quiet side with no small children. I wouldn’t mind a nice, non-aggressive Chihuahua that is about my size that I could play with.

Although I am shy, once I get to know you I am ready to sit in your lap and be loved and petted. Yeah, I love that kind of attention! I have a crate of my own which I like to have available because if things get a little too loud or scary, I retreat into my crate and watch the action until I am comfortable with things and then I will venture back out to investigate.

I am well house broken and am not terribly noisy, although if I hear a noise outside or someone comes to the door I will let you know about it so you can investigate.

If you are looking for a well-behaved, handsome little guy to watch TV with you and sit on your lap while you work on the computer then let the regional coordinator know and I will pack my toys, dishes, clothes and crate and before there before you can whistle, “Dixie” (well almost that fast.).

Whew! That was scary. I don’t usually talk to strangers, and right now, everyone’s strange. I know I’ll adjust soon; this foster mom and dad are awfully nice, but I’d like to get myself settled in my new home as soon as I can. Is it yours??

Fenced yard, no children, no larger dogs. Please complete an adoption application if you would like to adopt Simon. You must live in OH/IN/KY/IL/MN/MI/WI (bbb)
