CHILDREN: Not known, but would probably do well with older
children
Barron came to an area shelter with a broken left front leg; his
owners had splinted it, but could not afford to pay for the
surgery to repair the leg. Barron's owners waited 6 days before
bringing him to the shelter; the home-made splint had not set
the break in place, so it has been a lengthy struggle to try to
repair the tissue & bone damage.
Unfortunately, one of the bones in Barron's leg healed, but the
other did not. This put him at certain risk for re-fracturing
the leg, so the decision was made to amputate. Barron's
recovery has been very good; he is able to get around well with
just 3 legs.
Barron is a very sweet boy in spite of his medical trials; he
gets along with everyone and loves attention from his foster
parents. As soon as his stitches come out on 12/24/07, he will
be ready for adoption. He will be a wonderful addition to any
family with lots of love to give.
Barron is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on all
vaccinations, HW negative, and on HW preventative.
