Barron is a wonderful little Chug- that's half Chihuahua and
half Pug. He is a very special boy. He had to have his front
left leg amputated after an accident, but we never say he's
missing a leg, because he doesn't miss it at all! Barron can
still run like the wind, and play fetch and tug-o-war with
the best of them. He absolutely LOVES to play with toys-
especially ones that squeak. His very favorite game, though,
is 'get the hand' with his people. He growls ferociously and
tries very hard to be convincing, but everyone who knows him knows
he's really a little marshmallow! To see a video of Barron
in action, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AoVZOygixc.
He does great with the other small dogs and cat in his foster
home, but if you want him to be an only child, we know he would be
thrilled!
When he's done playing, Barron likes to have snuggles and cuddles
with his favorite people. He's definitely a lap dog, but
it's important that his new family never leaves him on any
furniture or a bed that he could jump off of and injure his
remaining front leg. Likewise, although he can negotiate a
couple of stairs just fine, he'll always need to be carried up and
down flights of stairs and may have a hard time negotiating a dog
door when he is older (though he does just fine with them now).
Barron is very talkative, and will tell you all about it if he
feels you're not giving him the attention he needs or something
equally important comes up. It's very cute! Barron has
been waiting a long time for his special family to find him, and
he doesn't want to wait anymore. If you'd like that family
to be yours, please fill out an application to meet him today!
