Put A Little Love In Your Life - Adopt A
Chihuahua
This is a special needs dog. Special needs dogs are those dogs that have
medical, physical,
or other attributes that require special care or environment. They are not
available
for adoption at this time, but would welcome "best friends" to help with their
care.

Dear little Cricket was rescued from an animal
shelter where she was an unclaimed stray. Cricket is an older girl, thought to
be around 10. She is small at 5 pounds.
Cricket has a mature cataract in her left eye. She has visited a doggie eye
specialist and we were told that any surgery at this point would be elective,
since she has vision in her other eye, but that if she develops a cataract or
other problem in the "good" eye; then a decision will have to made about
surgery.
Little Cricket suffers from food allergies. In her foster home she is being fed
a raw diet and the allergies have improved a lot, but she still requires
frequent bathing, benadryl, and an occasional steroid shot.
Cricket gets along fine with the other dogs in her foster home, but does not
play with them. She is mostly OK with the cats. Cricket just hangs out...she
has a pillow and a snuggle sack in her favorite corner and seems happy just to
stay there most of the time. She always shows up at meal time and fusses at her
foster mom until she gets fed.
