Dobby is a wonderful little guy with a rough past.  We don't know much about his life before rescue, but when he came to us he had a poorly-healed broken jaw, a pelvic and leg fracture, and was very sick.  One leg amputation and a lot of TLC later, Dobby is now a very happy and healthy little boy!  He loves sunbathing and hanging out with his foster parents and doggie siblings.  When he wants his foster mom's attention, he runs in little circles in front of her and makes little huffy noises or barks.  It's very cute!  To see a video of Dobby in action, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8eavqKsB0M.

Because of that old jaw injury, Dobby's tongue tends to hang out to the side, but it just makes him even cuter.  He is still able to eat dry food, so as long as his new family takes good care of his teeth, he probably won't need to switch to wet anytime soon.  He has no problem at all getting around on his three legs, and he hustles himself all over to make sure he doesn't miss anything.  He does need help with stairs and his new family will need to make sure they don't leave him up on any furniture to keep his little legs safe, but he doesn't think that's too big a deal, and we don't mind it either.  Understandably, it takes Dobby a little time to warm up to new people, but once he knows you aren't going to hurt him, he's a love bug.  He loves to play “catch the hand” and “it’s my turn for belly rubs”, as well as “chase me…chase you.”  He thinks belly rubs are the bees knees and will lay on his back and wave his legs in the air to get his foster mom to give him some.  Dobbie has tons of life left to live and deserves a loving forever family to live it with.  If you'd like to make this adorable, tiny man a part of your family, please fill out an application to meet him today!

Dobby is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccination and heartworm prevention.
