Put A Little Love In Your Life - Adopt A Chihuahua

GINGER

NAME:  Ginger
GENDER:  Female
AGE:  3-4 yrs.
DOGS/CATS:  Ginger gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home; cats, not known.
CHILDREN:  Probably best with children over 12 years of age.

My name is Ginger and I am a love; I am about 3 or 4 and weigh about 8 pounds.  I am not teeny, but I am not big either...just right.  As you can see, I am quite a beautiful blonde bombshell.  I came out of a tough situation where some lady had 80 dogs.  I was very scared, and I wasn't used to people at all.  When someone would pet me, I was afraid they were trying to hurt me; learning about humans was pretty scary.

I have been living in foster homes with CRT and have learned good manners and what love is.  I love to be held, snuggled with, and to sleep in the big bed.   Right now, I am laying outside in the sunshine while my foster mom works inside on her computer....but she can see me being a sun-goddess.  I am always a little skeptical around strangers based on my history, but, as soon as I know you are nice, I will love you.  I don't bark a lot, but when someone I don't know is around, I will bark to scare them...I would make a good watch dog!
I have foster sisters and I get along great with them; we play and run and have a really good time.  I know how to go outside and go potty, and I also know how to use the pee pads (when it rains).  My foster mom keeps us in the kitchen with pee pads and a baby gate when she goes to work, and I like it just fine.  I can sleep in a crate at night, but I much prefer sleeping on the bed.  When it is not too warm, I like to burrow under the covers and enjoy snuggling.

I am up to date on shots, heartworm preventative, am microchipped, and have been spayed.  I am just ready to find my home with you so we can live together forever.

***If you are interested in adopting Ginger, and you live in the Dallas, north central Texas, or Oklahoma City area, please email the applicationcoordinator@chihuahua-rescue.com.  Please read about our adoption process, and then fill out an adoption application before emailing the contact person.
