Put A Little Love In Your Life - Adopt A Chihuahua

MARCUS Dallas, TX

My best friend is Bonnie Smith.
My best friend is Rene' Kurzius

UPDATE: 11-25-07
Marcus (As in “Kneeman”)  has had a very happy Thanksgiving and is wishing all of his fans the same!  However…..a week ago, he (ahem) misstepped, fracturing his right ankle <sigh>.  No cast, just Rimadyl, and watch/wait, see what happens.

So now he comes running to me every time I sit down and presents his right foot, waving it in the air, saying “mommy… it hurts!”  I have to hold his itty bitty paw and tell him what a brave boy he is, then kiss his foot, and he goes on his way….limping <sigh>.

Marcus has come a long way since he was rescued.  He lived with Cyndi for a year and made fantastic progress in socialization.  Since he has been here, he has learned several things.  He has learned how to play and he does this very well!  Every night just before going to sleep, we must have a roll-me-over-tickle-me-silly-until-I-cannot-stand-it time on the bed.  He begs to do
this over and over and just goes wild with joy.  He has learned now to smile, or perhaps that should be “snile” since his lip gets caught on what few teeth he has.  Marcus still has not, however, figured out that George is the one who feeds him and MUST give George his most scariest bark every time George moves from one place to another or speaks.  We are so very scared, aren’t we?   Being serious, Marcus has metamorphosed into one of the most beautiful, sweetest, kindest, craziest little dogs I’ve ever been privileged to foster for CRT.  He is a joy, he is a hoot, he is just totally fun.  What a change in one tiny individual in such a short period of time!

Marcus is a happy little boy who is looking for a quiet, adult home.  He is a beautiful 9 year old Long coat who gets along with other dogs in his foster home and is housetrained and paper trained.  He is quiet and doesn't bark unless a stranger comes in, or the cat comes up to him (he's afraid of the cat).  He does have low thyroid for which he takes a pill once a day (a year's supply costs approximately $28.00).  Marcus is very shy and it takes him awhile to warm up to people so he would do well with another dog to make him feel comfortable, show him around and be his buddy.  This is a gentle, loving little guy who just needs a place to call his own.  Like all CRT dogs, he is altered, current on all vaccinations, micro chipped and on Heartworm prevention.
