My name is Toby and I pride myself on
being the protector of the house. I think I am quite stunning with a
gorgeous brown coat and tan ‘pants’ at least that is how my foster
mom describes me. I am 6 years old and very healthy. I am a bigger
boy and weigh about 9 pounds. Don’t call me chunky, I am all muscle.
I love to walk with my tail high and curled.
I really like my foster mom but she tells me there is a forever home out
there just for me. It would be ok if there were other dogs and it does
not matter the size, I like my big Max Lab as well as my chi playmates.
I get along very well with other dogs.
I am ok with cats too. In fact, I came across the neighbors little
kittens and I really liked them because they liked playing with me. I am
not so good with small human kids and would prefer older kids like 12
and over. I play with other dogs and my stuffed toys. I run around with
them while others follow and try to get the toys. I am a leader and an
alpha so I like being the boss when I play but my foster mom is always
the ultimate boss and I always listen to her.
I love to lay right by my foster mom. I am ok with sharing a lap and I
love to give kisses. I am very protective of my home and family and I
will be on guard. If people come over to see my family, I should be
introduced or observe until I know the family is ok with the strangers,
then I am too. Like I said, I sure like my foster mom but I would really
like a family (one person, two persons, three persons – whatever you
call a family) that will like a little ‘big’ fellow like myself.
If the right family comes along, I promise to be loyal to a fault,
protective, playful and affectionate. Please consider me for your
forever home.
