Put A Little Love In Your Life - Adopt A Chihuahua

RICKY

Ricky is approx 1 1/2 - 2yrs old. He's good with up to one other dog. The other dog should be docile and non-confrontational. He's not good with other Alpha dogs. He is curious about cats, but loses interest quickly. He occasionally barks or "teases" the cat, but has never hurt another animal.

Ricky is great with kids and likes to play outside with squeaky toys. He also loves to be treated like a lap dog when relaxing inside. He'll sleep happily on top of the desk while you work and likes being showered with attention.

He is housetrained. He sleeps in a small room at night and goes out for regular potty breaks 2 times a day. He is not left to roam the house when unattended. It would be better to put him in his "room" to instill his recently learned housetraining. He will mark his territory when other, more threatening dogs are present. He will bark at other dogs and strangers. He gets excited (barking and jumping) when house guests first arrive, but is quick to calm and lose interest. He is not appropriate for an apartment. Ricky needs an owner and/or family who can afford to give him plenty of attention, whether playing or just cuddling.

He is leash trained, but prefers being off the leash in the yard to chase balls, squirrels, etc. He knows to sit on command and is working on other tricks. Ricky is completely up to date on vaccines and has heartworm preventative medicine. He has a small "cherry eye" in one eye, but it is merely cosmetic. It can be removed with surgery, but is not necessary. He's neutered and micro-chipped.
