Albert, or Albie for short, is an absolutely adorable little
boy with a sad past. His previous owner overfed him to
the point that he was very obese, and then decided to dump him
at the shelter. A vet deduced that he had been kicked
hard in the side, as he was bruised along his side, would
wince when touched, and cry out when he walked. He also
has a healing puncture wound on his belly near his front
leg. When CRT heard of this roly guy's plight, we knew we
had to help him out.
Albie’s
bruise has now healed and he no longer winces.
His puncture wound is now healed.
He has become more active at his foster home now that
these boo-boos are behind him.
He knows that no one will do that to him ever again,
because he is now loved and adored.
Albie is the sweetest little soul ever, exudes love and
just wants someone to love him back. If you have a backyard, he does love to play outside.
Albie is a very loving little man. He is so grateful for
any kindness and absolutely LOVES attention. He went to
his first adoption showing and if anyone was willing to pet
one of the dogs, he hurried over to try and get in on the
action. At his foster home, he loves to cuddle with his
foster mom, whether during the day while watching TV with her
or helping her work on her laptop, or at night, when he
cuddles so close to her to sleep.
Albie especially loves to have his head petted.
We
have him on a diet now so he can lose the unhealthy fat he has
had to live with for so long. We know once the weight
comes off, he'll be a much happier and more energetic guy, but
right now his energy level is low. His new family will
need to continue to monitor his diet and help him lose weight
to help him be healthy, breathe better, and avoid the horrible
joint pain that comes with obesity.
Albie
is still learning what life is like around other dogs, but he
does very well as long as the dogs don't overwhelm him.
If you want Albie to be the only dog baby in the house, we're
sure he'd be happy to accommodate you! This precious
little sweetheart is looking for a new life with a new family
who will love and care for him the way he deserves. If
you'd like to make Albie a part of your family, please fill
out an application today!
