Housebroken: Working hard (prefers to go outside)

Austin is one cute puppy!  He's a Chiweenie (part Chihuahua, part Dachshund); he's definitely got that handsome Dachsie look and build, but he got his mother's ears, and they're all Chihuahua.  He was born into the CRT program with his brothers and his sister.  He is unique among his siblings, because he was born with a shorter tail with a little crook in it, and it's just precious!  Austin gets along with everyone-men, women, kids, dogs-you name it!  If you can play with it or cuddle with it, Austin considers it a friend.  He loves the other dogs in his foster home, and will play, wrestle, run, and explore until he's all worn out.  He would really love to have another friendly, playful dog in his new home, but it you don't have one, don't worry-we have plenty of great potential Austin-siblings for you to choose from!

Austin enjoys exploring, and will climb fences and gates to go on his expeditions, but it's easy to keep him safe because he is crate trained.  When he is done exploring and playing, he loves cuddling with his people.  If he can curl up in your lap or in your arms for a snuggle or a belly rub, he's a happy guy!  He really wants to be with his people and will follow you anywhere, but he isn't overly needy.  He's doing great with his leash training and is just an all-around wonderful guy!  To see a new video of Austin in action, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fliQ8i8MQVY.
