Colin is a handsome, low-maintenance little guy who looks just like a tiny deer.  He has a beautiful coat and markings, and when he lays in the sun, he just seems to glow.  He is a bit shy, and will stand back for a few minutes to assess new friends, then approach them.  Once he gets to know you, he is a happy, outgoing, lovable little guy.  He'll show you, too, with a wagging tail that won't stop!  He loves his people, and follows his foster mom everywhere.  If there's attention to be had, he dances all around her legs making sure he gets his fair share!  To see a cute video of Colin in action, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHpQk_YySQ0. 

 

Colin gets along great with other little dogs and loves to play with his brother and sister Chihuahuas.  His favorite thing to do is tumble around on the floor with them.  If Chihuahuas are ready to play, you'll find Colin in the middle of the pile loving life!   And, when the playing is over, he loves to snuggle with his favorite people.  If nobody's lap is available, you'll find him in the doggie bed with his other siblings.  It is a precious sight to see when he is curled up cuddling with his buddies.  While Colin obviously enjoys his canine companions, it is his people who are his top priority!! 

 

Colin loves going for walks on a leash, so, if you like to walk, he would love to be your walking companion.  He is a very smart dog, and even knows how to use a doggy door to let himself outside to potty.  He may occasionally mark around other male dogs if not properly supervised, but if he's given good leadership and supervised, this shouldn't be a problem.  We feel that young children might be a little much since he is so laid back, but he would do well in a home with kids 12 years and older.

 

If you are looking for a fun, laid-back little guy who will always be there for you with a wagging tail and a lot of love - Colin is your guy!

 

Colin is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on shots, heartwom negative, and on heartworm prevention.  He is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
