Put A Little Love In Your Life - Adopt A Chihuahua

KIP

My name is Kip, aka Kipper, aka Kippy.  I think I might be a chorkie (chihuahua and yorkie) and I think I am about 2 years old.  As you see from my glamor shots, I am mostly black with a few rusty color places.  My fighting weight is 5 pounds and I finally reached my goal weight.  I came to CRT as a skinny stray roaming the streets covered in fleas when some animal control person picked me up (can you imagine a little guy like me out there all by myself?).  My skin was in terrible shape, but my coat has come in and it is all bright and shiny.  I have been in my foster home for a few months, gaining weight, learning manners and loving life.  My foster mom loves to snuggle me and I absolutely love her belly rubs  I am potty trained and love to hang out outside when the sun is shining.  I enjoy running the backyard and chasing squirrels, as well as walking on a leash.  I would be a great single dog, but also get along with others of my canine friends (my foster house has other dogs so I have become very social). I am not a big cat fan.   As you can see I am quite a handsome boy and would love to find my forever home, (my foster mom hates to admit she will miss me!).  I can be a little bossy, so I need a home with a strong alpha figure, someone who will love me and correct my mistakes gently, rather than anger.  I am not afraid of kids and love to play, (10 or older please).  I love to snuggle in the bed, but am also crate trained and sleep well in my crate with lots of covers.  I am fully vetted and up to date on heartworm.  I love to play with toys!
