Put A Little Love In Your Life - Adopt A Chihuahua

LILLY
My best friend is Paula Smith

Name:     Lilly
Gender:  female
Age:    14 - 15 years (Estimated)
Weight:   4.4 lbs
Dogs/cats:  Ok with small dogs, no large dogs/ has not been exposed to cats
Kids:  No kids
Apartment suitable:  Yes
Energy level:  Low
Housebroken:  Both pee pad and outside trained (needs to be taken out by her people)

Lilly is a lovely little girl looking for a home where she can enjoy her golden years. She is a tiny bundle of love, who wants nothing more than to cuddle with her people all day and night. She is the definitive 'Velcro dog,' and will squeeze into even the tiniest space in order to be close to you. She thinks people are great, and talks and wags at anyone who comes to the house to meet her!

Being a senior citizen, Lilly does have a few special needs. She has cataracts and does not see very well, and her tiny little feet have a hard time negotiating slick floors.  Don't let these facts fool you, though - Lilly is an independent little lady and gets around just fine!  As long as you have her food and water bowl on some sort of rug, mat, or blanket and you don't go putting too many new obstacles around every day, she'll learn the lay of the land in no time and won't have problems. She will go outside with her foster mom and run around with the rest of the pack letting the dogs next door know who's boss. If a bigger dog tries to steal her food or her spot, she is not intimidated a bit and tells that little whippersnapper what's what with every ounce of her four-pound little body!  There's definitely still a lot of life and sass left in this tiny girl.

There are definite advantages to living with a dog as mature as Lilly. She never rips or chews anything, she doesn't need to be walked, and she never has accidents in the house.  She will go potty on a pee pad, if one is available, or is happy to go outside whenever her foster mom takes her, and that is a huge bonus. Lilly is also allowed to gain a little weight, so it's ok to spoil her with a few extra treats here and there! She loves to sleep in bed under the covers with you at night, or she'll sleep in her dog bed if that's what you'd prefer. Who could ask for anything more?
