AGE:  11 mos (as of July 2010)

WEIGHT:  13 lbs (but should gain a teeny bit) 

DOGS/CATS:  Theo can get along w/ friendly dogs of all sizes / no cats 

ENERGY LEVEL:  High (but loves to be carried and kissed and cuddled!)

HOUSEBROKEN:  Crate and pad trained and housebroken (hasn't had any accidents in his foster home and is not a marker)

 

Theo is an amazing little dog full of life and energy!  He loves being part of the action and wants to be with his people all the time.  If you want to run or walk him on his leash, he can't wait to go with you.  If you want to play with him, he's on the other end of the dog toy as soon as you pick it up.  And if you want to carry him around and cuddle him and kiss his sweet face, he's happy to do that, too!  Theo is incredibly smart, and already knows how to walk nicely on a leash, sit, target his nose to your hand, get on his mat, wait at the door, come, and get off the furniture with a simple command.  He's even housebroken and good in the bath tub at only 11 months!  With his intelligence and physical abilities, he'd be a natural at learning tricks or even doing agility.  He can leap from the ground straight up to the back of the couch without a running start, but he never jumps over gates or his pen, even though when he stands up on his hind legs he can put his feet and face on top of them.  To see a video of Theo in action, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BXq2_G0ep0.

 

Theo is a very active little guy, and he loves to play with other dogs.  When he first meets new dogs, he's a little nervous, but within minutes he's following them around and exploring with them.  He's met little dogs, medium dogs, and large dogs, and managed to get along with all of them.  He would really like to have another friendly dog in his new home, especially if that dog loves to wrestle as much as he does!  His breed combination does inspire him to want to chase after small animals, so we think he'd do best in a home without cats.  Theo is very loving, and when he's all played out, he likes to curl up near you and chew a chew toy or have a nap.  He also goes right into his crate at night when asked to go to bed.  If you are looking for a super smart, sweet, adorable, fun, and active little guy, Theo is the perfect dog for you!  He can't wait to start living the life he deserves with his forever family.  If you'd like that family to be yours, please fill out an application to meet Theo today!
