Meet Banjo. This guy has a stunning red and white coat that will take your breath away. He is looking for love and a forever home to grow up in.
Banjo and his brothers were turned in to a local shelter. We believe they were being raised by a backyard breeder, as none of them are potty trained and they didn’t even seem to know what grass was (isn’t that sad?). They also were covered with fleas when they were surrendered which indicates they were outside, probably in cages. Now these little ones are thrilled to be clean, have regular food, and have an indoor home to be safe in.
Banjo is really sweet and loves people. He wants to be around you and receive love from you. As he gets more and more comfortable, we think he will be a real cuddle bug. He should also be fine with older, mature children.
Banjo gets along with other small dogs, but he does prefer female dogs! When he is around male dogs he wants to be the big brother boss. We are trying to train him that this is unacceptable but to keep the peace, he may be better in a home without other male dogs.
As we mentioned above, Banjo is not potty trained yet. But he is learning very quickly and has already learned to use a pee pee pad. He will sleep in a crate at night. This guy is smart, and as he gets used to being an indoor dog, we believe he will pick up the routines quickly.
Banjo’s has an amazing red and white long coat. And he makes the cutest expressions with his face and ears! Currently he is about 8 pounds, but he is a bit thin. Ideally we would like to see him gain another pound. We have him on a very nutritious diet which will help him reach his ideal weight quickly. He is about 3 years old.
