Introducing Sassy. If we were to re-name this girl, we would probably name her “sweetness”.
Sassy is super easy to love. She is a lap dog and really enjoys her family time. Her ideal world would to be around family members 24/7. She will be great for a retired couple or a work from home family. Honestly, she would be great for any family. She has a relaxed personality and loves to be any where you are. If you need to do some computer work, she will loyally lay by your desk in a doggie bed and help inspire you! She loves to sit with you on the couch and watch TV at night. Sassy loves snuggles and back rubs. She gets along with every single person she meets, no matter what the age.
Sassy also gets along with the other small dogs in her foster home. She fits nicely into the pack. There is not a mean bone in her. Sassy does not play much, but she will snuggle in the doggy bed with other dogs. She doesn’t play with toys. Her primary purpose in life is to be a lover everywhere she goes.
Sassy is about 13 years young. We believe she has several great years ahead of her. She was a bit overweight when we got her. She has lost a few pounds and currently weighs about 10 pounds. Our vet wouldn’t mind if she trimmed up a little bit more – typical story of a woman trying to look sexy as we get older – LOL. We are proud of how far she has come. One thing to note: Sassy has a history of bladder stones. This is now controlled by a special prescription diet for both her meals and her treats (the food costs are similar to normal food). She loves food, and has no objections to eating this food!
Sassy is completely potty trained. She is also crate trained and will head directly in to her crate at night to sleep. She LOVES to go on walks and is great on a leash. Her preference is to take a walk around the block every day. During this summer heat, she has joined her foster Mom on walks inside of Home Depot. She makes friends every where she goes! Sassy would be great as a family dog. She would be fine as an only dog or as a sibling to others.
