STATE COORDINATOR: DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
The CRT State Coordinator will:
- Assist Regional Coordinator in identifying and
establishing a working relationship with as many shelters as possible within
that state
- Maintain a statewide network of volunteers for both
fostering and transport
- Answer all inquiries about fostering and volunteering
in a timely manner
- Assist in screening volunteers and prospective
adopters, following CRT guidelines
- Train and work with all volunteers in the state to
uphold CRT policies and procedures
- Request approval from Regional Coordinator for all
rescues
- Arrange pickup of approved rescues
- Arrange foster homes for approved rescues
- Request vet care from Regional Coordinator for approved
rescues
- Supervise volunteers in the state so that necessary and
appropriate vet care is obtained as soon as possible after pickup for all
rescues
- Request permission of the Regional Coordinator for any
and all vet care above/beyond routine (vaccinations, heartworm check &
starting on hw preventative, fecal test, spay/neuter)
- Promptly submit all adoption fee checks, donation checks, vet bills, and
other money to Regional Coordinator
- Maintain and distribute all appropriate forms to
volunteers
- Maintain contact with all volunteers who are fostering
to determine appropriate placements for fosters
- Actively seek adoptive homes for all rescues in foster
care
- Maintain data for all rescues, placements, and fosters
in that state
- Submit data in a timely manner to Regional Coordinator
as requested
- Clear all publicity, requests for volunteers,
advertising through the Regional Coordinator
When in contact with the general public, shelters, and
other rescue organizations, always conduct him/herself in an appropriate manner,
regardless of the situation. Remember, you are representing CRT!
