Meet one of our newest CRT fosters – JoJo.
JoJo is an owner surrender to CRT. Her original family is dealing with some long term medical issues. They love JoJo and asked CRT if we could bring her into our program and help her find a family who would love her as much as they do. We are happy to help – she is delightful.
JoJo is curious, playful and a super easy going dog. As she has settled into her foster home, we have noticed that she likes to be the leading lady! With her dominant personality, we are suggesting that she might be best as an only dog. She enjoys exploring the yard and settling in for an afternoon nap. We have not noticed her playing with toys.
JoJo loves her foster family. She loves to follow them from room to room so she can be a part of the family activity. She climbs up on your lap for lap time. She will also snuggle in her doggy bed under the blankets in the family room as everyone watches TV. She is really quiet, and rarely barks (even when the other dogs are barking!)
JoJo was born on April 15, 2019. She weighs a perfect 6.1 pounds. JoJo has a stunning tri-color coat (black, tan and white). Her little ears perk up when you call her name.
JoJo is smart. She is 100% potty trained. She has not had one accident in her foster home. She is crate trained and will sleep quietly throughout the night in her crate. We are just beginning to work with her on a harness and leash for walking.
The ideal home for JoJo would be one with moderate energy. We think she would do best as an only dog so she could get ALL your attention. She needs a family who can check on her every 4-6 hours (would not be a good fit for a family that works 10-12 hour days). There are no children in her foster home but JoJo loves people and we think she would do well with children 10 and older.
JoJo is being fostered in the Dallas-Fort Worth (Texas) area. Our CRT adoption form can be found at: http://www.chihuahua-rescue.
JoJo is spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. Vet work is scheduled to be completed in mid-April, and she will then be ready for adoption. We are accepting applications now.
This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $300.00 adoption donation required.
As part of our mission to reduce the number of unwanted and sick dogs, we require that all current pets are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and taking heart worm prevention. Applications will not be considered if one or more of these requirements are not met.
After filling out an adoption application (found at http://www.chihuahua-rescue.
