*Currently being fostered by Potomac Valley Pekingese Club, Inc.*
This young little Chi-Peke would love to be someone’s only dog! Berkley is under ten pounds and wants to be close to his owner- he bonds to one person, like many chis do. He can be spicy at first but is so sweet once he warms up to his people! Berkeley is believe to be two to three years old. He is very loving with his person and is a great watch dog- he will bark and alert you to strangers! Berkley is house trained.
Berkley has been fully vetted. He is neutered, up to date on his shots, and has been microchipped.
Everyone involved with Potomac Valley Pekingese Club, Inc., PVPC, is a VOLUNTEER. We have no paid positions. We work as quickly as is feasible. We do require use of monthly heartworm preventative, current Vet visits, and we prefer a fenced yard and homes with children over the age of 8. - Complete an adoption application Adoption Application – Potomac Valley Pekingese Club
- A Vet check will be completed by a member of the Rescue Committee.
- Following a good Vet check you will be contacted regarding available dogs that may be wonderful for your home. A home visit will then be arranged between you and a volunteer.
- You may request a specific peke; however, we have a list of approved applicants. We try to match the best peke with an applicant therefore, it is not a first come, first serve process. Our hope is that such matching results in the happiest life for you and the peke. Know that in the process of fostering we have fallen in love with “your” peke, too.
When a peke is being transferred to your care, you need to complete an Adoption Contract and pay the necessary (suggested) adoption fee. These suggested fees allow us to continue our work.
Adoption fees:
Puppies: $500
Young: $450
Adult $400
Seniors $350
Special Needs : $200 or a case by case by Rescue Committee Decision
