Meet Mikey!
Mikey is a 13 year old black and tan male chihuahua who entered rescue when his elderly owner unfortunately passed away. Mikey is currently fifteen pounds but his foster mom is currently working on helping him lose some weight!
Mikey is the perfect gentleman. His foster mom says he is sweet as sugar! He is a very calm boy and is happy to snuggle all day! He does not play much however does get along great with his foster family’s six other dogs. He has not been cat tested but foster mom doesn’t think it would be a problem. He likely would do fine with children who are a bit older and calm.
Mikey walks well on a leash, but due to his age and extreme heat he hasn’t gotten many walks in lately. Mikey is house trained. He is both pee pad trained and trained to go potty outside. Because he was put in a crate and stuck in a garage by family when his owner died, Mikey absolutely hates crates and will not tolerate being put in one.
Mikey is fully vetted and up to date on vaccinations. He is neutered, has had a dental, is heartworm negative, and on monthly heartworm prevention. He has no known health issues other than being a bit overweight! Mikey has also been microchipped.
